Things To Do In NC

We cannot thank y’all enough for making it out to North Carolina! The Allen family is thrilled to share their neck of the woods with everyone, to understand a little more about Meredith and who she is by seeing her beautiful home. When you aren’t out partying with us, here are the best things to do in Chapel Hill/ Carrboro!

Places We Love

Sunrise Biscuits- Do yourself a favor and head to this drive-thru. In 9th grade Meredith made a New Years Resolution to be a vegetarian but on January 1st she was too tempted by a sausage biscuit and decided to try again next year.

Armadillo Grill- Go grab yourself some tacos where Meredith convinced her parents to drop her off to study, but would really sneak over to Cat’s Cradle on a school night. (Texans, please don’t judge our tacos too harshly…)

Weaver Street Market- A lovely little grocery store with a big outdoor patio. Bring a book or a journal, your guitar or a deck of cards and post up for hours.

Carolina Forest Theatre- On campus, a beautiful stone outdoor theatre.

Franklin Street- Walk up and down Franklin Street, the most famous street in Chapel Hill.

Franklin Motor and Grill- A newer spot in town, but there is this one pink drink on the menu that has become Will’s favorite if he can’t get his hands on a Squirtle.

The Station- An old railway car converted to a bar that was a mainstay for Chris and Edie back in the day.

Cafe Driad- A lovely spot for if you feel like having a coffee surrounded by trees

Open Eye Cafe- Classic coffee shop in the heart of Carrboro.

Top of the Hill- Probably the most famous restaurant in Chapel Hill, known for its birds eye view of Franklin Street.

Merritts Grill- Look no further for an amazing BLT.

North Carolina Botanical Gardens- Perfect place for an idyllic stroll.

Carrburritos- Go get a big ol’ burrito at a little ol’ price.

Surplus Sids- This is an old army/antique store, filled to the brim with relics of decades past. If you get to talking to Sid, be ready to hang for the next hour or so.

Cat’s Cradle- The legendary music hall has hosted bands big and small for decades.

Local 506- Another classic music venue, which has even hosted the likes of Patch.

Barcade- Beers and video games. What’s not to like?

The Kracken- One of Will’s favorites. A little further out, but just the epitome of a dive bar.

Carolina North Trails- One of Edie’s favorite trails for running. Be sure to get some good NC woods time in on your trip!

And please direct any pickleball related questions to Chris Allen who will most definitely be organizing some kind of tournament.
